In this version, we sought to maximize the visual qualities of Pearltrees and  offer an experience that’s fully immersive.

Illustrate your pearltrees with beautiful backgrounds:

From now on, all pearltrees will have backgrounds! They add an emotional and visual context to each of your pearltrees. By default, the background for each pearltree is the same as the avatar you’ve chosen for that particular pearltree. If you are a Premium member, you can customize your wallpapers images independently from the avatars for your pearltrees!

Pearls have gone from “iconic” to realistic:
These more realistic pearls provide an overview of their contents, allowing you to  immediately identify what’s inside, making it possible for you to discover an entire pearltree at a glance.
In addition, we’ve also made pearls easier to organize, especially on iOS devices!

  • A gallery that allows you to  manage your images!

    • The images you’ve used to personalize your pearltrees are now stored in your gallery, so you’ll have them available to use and re-use anytime you want. No more re-uploading!


     

  • We’ve also made browsing Pearltrees faster!

    • Now you can watch video directly in the large pearl window.  Today, videos from Youtube, Vimeo, Dailymotion and TED can be directly viewed this way and we’re adding other video services all the time — don’t see a video service you use?   • Zoom to enjoy your pearltrees at all scales!

    • Zooming in the pearltree view has also been dramatically upgraded.  Now you can easily switch from a detailed view to an overview. Images remain clear and sharp regardless of scale.

Of course, Botticelli is also available on iOS. Do not forget to update your iPhone and iPad apps!
