Pearltrees alpha version 0.3.2 is online!

Pearltrees continues on its fast pace of continuous changes. Today is the release of the « Jackie Chan » iteration. Why Jackie Chan ? Because we all want Pearltrees to be simpler and smoother!

More specifically, we have worked on the navigation from map to map and on pearls manipulation. We have also added two new features (Delicious import and bookmarklets)

For more details, here are the key changes:

1. Interface

Easier navigation

  • click on a map = open the map. The click also closes the other map that might be open (at the same level) to improve readability.

  • click a second time on the map = focus on the map. You can thus enjoy more your reading

  • double-click on a pearl = web page opened in player mode

Smother manipulation

  • Two new buttons: «Close» and «Back». With «Back», access the upper level of your map. With «Close», well,… close the currently opened map.

  • The «Drop»: you want to move a pearl from one map to another? Just put it over the other map. It will open automatically. You can organize the pearls of the two opened maps as you wish!

2. New features

  • Delicious import: How to deal with all these bookmarks on Delicious? Now, you can import them in Pearltrees! All you have to do is to go in the settings then in the «Import» tab. Enter your Delicious login and password, click on Import. You’re done!
  • Bookmarklet: the Pearlbar is only available on Firefox and Internet Explorer (for now). From now on, everyone can use Pearltrees with the bookmarklets. Pearl the web pages you want to register in your account with the “pearl” button. When you click “Reveal”, you will access to your account and find the pearls you just made in your “drop zone”.

Your feedback is welcome. Enjoy!
