Hi everyone!

You’ll find out that peartrees alpha version 0.3 is more simple, easy to use and quicker. It is also more social. (I know you already can’t wait for alpha version 0.4, but be patient it should come within a month).
Here are the new features of pearltrees alpha version 0.3

• Social novelties

– Keep posted with the maps you are following: each time a map you are connected with is changed by its creator, it blinks. All you have to do to  see how your friends modified their maps is to « follow the blinkings » from your account.

– Discuss with your connections : discussions on the pearls that are connected to several people are merged. This means that a general discussion can take place between all the people that are connected to the same pearl (i.e., that are interested in the same topic).

– Give your map: you can give a map to one of its followers by clicking on « give » in the connections tab.

After doing so, your friend will take care of the map and you, as follower, will benefit from the changes he makes. Of course, you won’t be able to modify it anymore… untill your friend gives it back to you ! You can thus build maps with some friends by exchanging the ownership of a map.

• Statistics

Measure your map popularity: a « hit counter » has been set for every map. You can find it in the pearl’s tab. It allows you to know how many people have visited your map.

• What about the interface ?

– Discover related maps: Discovering the maps that have direct or indirect connections with yours has never been easier. Just press the button « related maps » at the top left of the screen.You will also find next to this button the « hot maps » button that shows the most viewed maps on Pearltrees.
– Navigate easily in pearltrees: All the navigations commands have been moved to the top left of the page to increase the lisibility of the interface

-Enjoy a wider player: you can now fully enjoy the contents of the pages you play !
