What a name! and what a process ! Do you realize that name was not in the very first list? Thanks to each of you, step by step, from discussions to discussion we ventually put our finger on it.

But what a name ! Have you ever tried to say it without smiling? I tried one sad rainy day… I failed… I smiled.

But, that are many other reasons that made you choose “pearltrees”:

1. It precisely discribes what we are making : we are here to make beautiful pearltrees
2. It shows the conceptual jump from a list (hierarchical) to tree (democratized) organisation of the web
3. It has the ability to become a great symbol (thanks Jess for your special help on the point)
4. It does not sound like any other known website
5. It can easily be turned into a verb : “Pearltree those websites, please” “We should tree this to prepare our project”.

Here, in the 86, rue de Charonne,  we all love it. And I am sure it will be a key point for gathering some more pearltrees people with us. I am very proud of that good collaborative achievement.I am sure you share this great feeling too.
